Here’s how we guarantee quality and freshness:

We begin by using only 100 percent Arabica coffee beans, which are universally considered the world’s finest. We also sample or “cup” coffee from every bag of beans we purchase. By roasting our coffee in small batches, and by cupping again, we further ensure consistency of quality from batch to batch. Finally, our coffee has no time to lose precious flavor.

When you place your order, we roast, grind, pack and ship your coffee that day. That means with every order you get the same premium product and your coffee measures up to our highest standards for freshness and taste. By comparison, food service coffees are roasted and ground by the hundreds of pounds, packed elsewhere, then stored in a warehouse to be distributed over a period of time.

Perfect roasting brings out the maximum flavor and aroma of the coffee beans. With time and technique, using controlled temperature and air flow, an experienced roaster can transform green beans to the ideal brown roast for each coffee type. Since 1997, we’ve been perfecting our roasting methods and we use state-of-the-art equipment in order to bring you the finest, freshest premium coffee.

Fresh-roasted premium coffee costs more than bulk bargain coffees. But the reality is that coffee is an affordable luxury and costs less than any other house beverage.
